Installation / Setup

The installation/setup highlights for the Drehsteuerung Type HA 55/1 include the following points:

1. The rotor axis is driven by a single-phase AC reversible motor with a capacitor and a self-locking reduction gear, delivering approximately 75 watts of drive power through a duplex chain drive.

2. The rotation angle feedback is provided by a 28 V DC powered rotary field transmitter, which is coupled to the rotor axis without play using pre-tensioned gears.

3. The end limitation is achieved through two end switches assigned to the motor for left and right rotation, activated by two adjustable cam switches mounted on a slotted ring, which is loosely mounted on the rotor axis and driven by a stop screw. The desired rotation range can be limited between 0 to 540 degrees by adjusting the cam switches on the ring.

4. The motor, control, and feedback connections are located on the knife contact strip Type FUJ 33013, with the corresponding socket strip Type FD 930/2 supplied.

5. The drive, feedback, end limitation, and connections are housed at the lower end of the mast in a weather-protected metal housing, which also contains the cable gland for the control cable.

6. The control and display are mounted on the control panel of an operating device. The mast is controlled by a rotary switch for left and right rotation, with the middle position fixed as the neutral position. The direction of rotation must cross the neutral position when changing direction. Each direction is also assigned a glow lamp that controls the corresponding winding of the motor stator.

7. The display of the rotation angle is done with a rotary field receiver on a 360° scale with 2° divisions. Opening the scale glass by removing the direction pointer with the knurled nut allows the insertion of diagram sheets (transparent or polar coordinate paper).

8. The operating device can be set up at any distance from the mast, provided the necessary control cable is appropriately dimensioned. For distances up to approximately 1000 meters, cross-sections of 1.5 mm² per wire are used. For distances under 100 meters, the listed type LLP 05082 is sufficient.

9. The cable is not included in the delivery.

10. The wiring is detailed in the circuit diagram HA 55/1. The system is not intended for continuous operation (e.g., driving radar systems) but only for short-term orientation (with 30% duty cycle) of directional antennas.
