Safety & Warnings

The probe is designed to make differential voltage measurements and should not be used to insulate the circuit under test from the measuring instrument. Users should ensure fingers are clear from exposed connections and behind the safety hooks shield. Use only the provided safety hooks.

Do not use the probe above 1000 V r.m.s. (1400 V DC + peak AC) to avoid injury. Ensure the BNC cable is connected to a grounded oscilloscope before connecting the measuring inputs. The safety ground lead must always be connected to the oscilloscope CAL connector.

The probe is designed to comply with IEC 1010-1, IEC1010.2-031 Installation Category III, Pollution Degree 2, and is safe for indoor use, up to an altitude of 2000 m, within a temperature range of -10 °C to 40 °C, and with a maximum relative humidity of 80% at 31 °C, decreasing linearly to 40% at 50 °C.

Clean the exterior of the probe with a soft cloth moistened with water or isopropyl alcohol. Avoid mechanical shocks and excessive bending of the cable. Do not use the probe if any part is damaged, and refer all maintenance to qualified personnel.
