5. Audio-Frequency Voltages: Audio-frequency voltages up to 150 volts may be present at the 600-ohm SPKR terminals. Turn the AUDIO GAIN control to 0 before touching these terminals.

6. Connector Cable Terminal Strips: Never remove the sheet metal covers without first detaching the plug from the a-c power line or disconnecting the batteries.

7. Electric Shock Response: In case of electric shock, shut off the high voltage immediately and ground the circuits. If not possible, free the victim using a nonconductor. Avoid direct contact with the live conductor or the victim’s body. Use extreme caution to avoid electric flash.

8. Resuscitation: If electric shock occurs, artificial respiration should be administered. The victim should be laid in a prone position, and any foreign objects should be removed from the mouth. Tight clothing should be loosened, and the victim should be kept warm. The resuscitating operator should straddle the victim’s thighs and apply pressure on the small of the victim’s back.
