Installation / Setup
The installation and setup of the Valhalla Scientific Models 2110A and 2111A Digital Power Analyzers include several key points:
1. Inspection: Upon receiving the unit, inspect the shipping carton for damage and have the carrier’s agent present if damage is suspected. Retain the shipping carton for inspection if needed.
2. Line Voltage/Fuse Selection: Configure the power analyzer for operation at different AC line voltages using the switch on the rear of the 2110A. Ensure the correct line voltage selection is made before applying power.
3. Bench Use: The 2110A is ready for bench use without special instructions beyond those in Section 4.
4. Rack Mounting: An optional kit is available for rack mounting. Ensure sufficient airflow by placing a minimum 1.75″ blank panel above and below the unit in the rack. The ambient air temperature should not exceed 50°C during operation or 70°C during storage.
5. Safety Precautions: Use the provided three-contact power connector to ensure a continuous ground connection. Always disable the power source before changing load or source connections to avoid exposure to lethal voltages on the rear terminals.
