The FS73 and FS74A CHANNELIZERS are designed to quickly and accurately test channels in CATV and MATV systems. They provide digital readouts with 1 KHz resolution and 10 ppm accuracy, compensating for systems using Harmonic Related Carrier (HRC) or Incremental Coherent Carrier (ICC) methods. The CHANNELIZERS automatically retune in both Automatic Fine Tuning (AFT) and manual tuning modes by setting the CABLE SYSTEM switch to FCC, HRC, or ICC positions. They display numeric channel designations and offsets from FCC specified frequencies, allowing users to check for frequency shifts within allowable limits.

To tune to any channel with the CHANNELIZERS, follow these steps:
1. Connect the signal to the RF input.
2. Select the RF BAND containing the desired channel.
3. Choose the proper CABLE SYSTEM type (FCC, HRC, ICC) and select the measurement function.
4. Adjust the TV CH/FM FREQ SELECT control until the desired channel number or FM frequency appears. Use the AUTO position on the RF RANGE switch for faster measurements.
5. If the frequency is within +/- 1.25 MHz of the assigned TV channel or 150 kHz of the assigned FM frequency, pull the FREQUENCY OFFSET control outward to use the AFT mode.
6. Read the frequency offset on the FREQ OFFSET – MHZ display.

For non-FCC channels, use the manual tune mode to offset from an FCC channel by +/- 4 MHz in 50 kHz steps. Connect the signal, select the RF BAND, and fine-tune using the FREQUENCY OFFSET control.
