The active CISPR AV detector is indicated with AV on the frequency display and with CAV on the bargraph.
For operation with the internal tracking generator (option ESCS-B5), the generator menu is accessed by pressing the GEN key. The menu includes functions such as Normalize and Level absolute. The ON/OFF softkey controls the tracking generator, and the Normalize function transfers the last scan result into memory as a reference. The Level absolute softkey switches off the relative level display.
The service menu includes a battery capacity measurement function, which is started with the service function 06 CAL BATT. CAPACITY. To measure battery capacity, the ESCS is operated from AC supply until the batteries are charged, then operated on battery power until automatic switch-off, followed by recharging.
