Operation

The manual provides a quick start guide for the LeCroy 9210 Pulse Generator. To begin, install an output module into slot A by opening the cover door on the right side of the front panel, aligning the module in the guide rail, and pushing it into the mainframe until it is flush with the front panel. Repeat for slot B if using a second module. Connect the generator to a power source that meets the specified requirements (115/220 VAC, 48 Hz to 448 Hz), and ensure the main circuit breaker/line switch on the rear panel is ON. Press the front panel [POWER] key to initiate power-up calibration, which lasts about 30 seconds, after which the Channel A control menu will be displayed.

Pulse parameters and controls are accessed via the TouchCRT by touching CRTkeys. For example, touching {Period} highlights the key, allowing adjustments with the Outer Ring Knob (for range) and the Center Knob (for vernier). The vernier sensitivity can be adjusted using the [=Digit] and [Digit>] keys. To set a specific period, such as 1.5 microseconds, use the numeric keypad. The factory default setup can be recalled by pressing [Recall Setup] and touching {Standard} and {Execute}, setting the generator to NORMAL trigger mode, which is free running.
