Installation / Setup
The installation of the 11884D 6 GHz Operation Upgrade Kit for the 8752C Network Analyzer involves several steps. First, verify the serial number of the analyzer to ensure compatibility with the upgrade kit. The installation requires specific equipment and tools, including a power meter, power sensors, calibration kit, various cables and adapters, a set of TORX screwdrivers, wrenches, and ESD safety equipment.
Before beginning, ensure the power switch is off and the instrument is unplugged to avoid personal injury. The installation involves removing the feet and covers of the analyzer, replacing the 3 GHz source assembly with the 6 GHz source assembly, and adjusting internal components such as the A9 CC jumper. After configuring the analyzer for 6 GHz operation, perform necessary adjustments and system verification tests as outlined in the service guide.
Finally, reassemble the instrument, apply the keyword label, and replace the nameplate with the new one included in the kit. The installation is completed by placing the installation label on the rear panel and noting the installation date.
