Safety & Warnings
The manual provides several safety warnings and precautions:
1. This is a Safety Class I product with a protective earthing ground in the power cord. The mains plug should only be inserted into a socket with a protective earth contact. Interrupting the protective conductor is prohibited as it may make the instrument dangerous.
2. There are no operator serviceable parts inside. Servicing should be referred to qualified personnel, and covers should not be removed to prevent electrical shock.
3. If the product is not used as specified, its protection could be impaired. It must be used in a normal condition with all protection means intact.
4. For fire hazard protection, replace the fuse only with the same type and ratings (type 5A/250V). Using other fuses or materials is prohibited.
5. To prevent electrical shock, disconnect the equipment from mains before cleaning. Use a dry cloth or one slightly dampened with water for cleaning the external case parts. Do not clean internally.
6. There are many points inside the instrument that can cause personal injury if contacted. Any adjustments or service procedures requiring operation with protective covers removed should be performed only by trained service personnel.
7. The product conforms to Enclosure Protection Standard IP 20, protecting against finger access to hazardous parts but not against water ingress, presenting a significant risk of electrical shock if operated when wet.
8. Before switching on the instrument, ensure the line voltage selector switch is set to the power supply voltage and the correct fuse is installed.
9. Always use the three-prong AC power cord supplied with the product to ensure adequate earth grounding and prevent product damage.
10. Ventilation requirements must be met when installing the product in a cabinet. Convection into and out of the product must not be restricted, and the ambient temperature must be less than the maximum operating temperature by 4°C for every 100 watts dissipated in the cabinet. Forced convection is required if total power dissipation exceeds 800 watts.
11. The product is designed for use in Installation Category II and Pollution Degree 2 per IEC-1010 and IEC-664.
