Operation
The manual provides information on the operation and usage of the Models 6826A and 6827A Bipolar Power Supply/Amplifiers. These units can function as both a power supply and an amplifier. As a power supply, they can operate in either a Constant Voltage or Constant Current mode, with a crossover feature that automatically switches between these modes. The output is bipolar and adjustable from the maximum positive to an equal negative value. The units offer dual output voltage ranges for better resolution and can be programmed locally or remotely.
As amplifiers, the units can be set to variable or fixed gain modes using a MODE switch. They can amplify both AC and DC signals, with variable gain controlled locally or remotely. The variable gain amplifier is non-inverting with a frequency response from DC to 15kHz, while the fixed gain amplifier is inverting with a frequency response from DC to 40kHz for Model 6826A and DC to 30kHz for Model 6827A. The manual also describes the use of front panel meters to monitor voltage and current, with options for AC or DC output monitoring.
