Before applying power to the HP 53131A/132A 225 MHz Universal Counter, verify that the product is set to match the available line voltage and that the correct fuse is installed. An uninterruptible safety earth ground must be provided from the mains power source to the product input wiring terminals or supplied power cable. The product is a safety Class I instrument, provided with a protective earth terminal. Warning symbols indicate that bodily injury or death may result from failure to heed a warning, and caution symbols indicate that damage to equipment or incorrect measurement data may result from failure to heed a caution.
