Safety & Warnings
This is a Safety Class I instrument provided with a terminal for protective earthing. Before applying power, verify that the power transformer primary is matched to the available line voltage, the correct fuse is installed, and safety precautions are taken. Protective covers are removed during adjustments, and energy at many points may result in personal injury if contacted. Adjustments, maintenance, and repair under voltage should be avoided and carried out only by skilled personnel aware of the hazards. Capacitors may remain charged even if disconnected from the power source. Servicing instructions are for service-trained personnel only. To avoid dangerous electric shock, do not perform servicing unless qualified. The protective earth terminal must be connected to the protective conductor of the mains power cord, and the mains plug should only be inserted in a socket outlet with a protective earth contact. The protective action must not be negated by using an extension cord without a protective conductor. Grounding one conductor of a two-conductor outlet is insufficient protection. If energized via an autotransformer, ensure the common terminal is connected to the earth terminal of the power source. Any interruption of the protective conductor or disconnecting the protective earth terminal will cause a potential shock hazard. If protection is impaired, the instrument must be made inoperative and secured against unintended operation. Only use fuses with the required rated current, voltage, and specified type. Do not use repaired fuses or short-circuited fuse-holders. Do not operate the instrument in the presence of flammable gases or fumes. Do not install substitute parts or perform unauthorized modifications.
