Installation / Setup
The Agilent Technologies 16517A/18A logic analyzer can be connected to a target system either directly or through a non-terminated analysis probe. It requires a clear connection with no termination. Long leads and improper signal connections can result in inconsistent or erroneous data, so it is recommended that the probe tip connects directly to the target system without additional lead lengths. If additional ground lead length is necessary, guidelines are provided based on target rise time. The logic analyzer is shipped with a Probe Accessories Kit, which includes various components such as ground leads, signal leads, and a calibration pod used during the skew adjust procedure.
