Controls & Indicators
OUTPUT SELECTOR switch: A five-position rotary switch used to choose the type of operation desired. Positions include OFF, RF, INT MOD, EXT MOD, and AUDIO OUT. The OFF position powers down the unit, while other positions power it on, indicated by the POWER lamp illumination. RF generates a continuous wave rf signal, INT MOD allows internal modulation, EXT MOD allows external modulation, and AUDIO OUT provides a 1kHz sinewave at the AUDIO OUT/IN terminals.
BAND switch: A six-position rotary switch that selects the frequency range available at the front panel rf outputs. Positions include RF OFF and ranges from 100kHz to 16MHz, with a special CB range covering 26.965MHz to 27.6MHz.
CB BAND ADJ: An access hole for the CB range coil used in the internal rf oscillator, allowing calibration adjustments for long-term component aging and temperature effects.
Frequency dial: A 350° vernier drive control that selects the rf output frequency within the range determined by the BAND switch.
Step nV: A five-position rotary switch used with the VARIABLE pV control to adjust the rf signal amplitude at the ATTENUATED rf jack, scaling the upper limit of the VARIABLE BV control.
VARIABLE xrV: A continuously variable control used with the step wV switch to adjust the rf signal amplitude at the ATTENUATED rf jack.
