4. Audio-Frequency Voltage Warning: Audio-frequency voltages up to 150 volts may be present at the 600-ohm SPKR terminals. Turn the AUDIO GAIN control to 0 before touching these terminals.
5. Connector Cable Terminal Strips Warning: Do not remove sheet metal covers from the connector cable terminal strips without first detaching the plug from the a-c power line or disconnecting the batteries. Simply turning the OFF-ON switch to OFF is insufficient.

If unable to turn off the high voltage quickly, free the victim from contact using a nonconductor like a dry board or clothing. Avoid direct contact with the live conductor or the victim’s body. 7. Resuscitation Guidelines: If the victim is not breathing, provide artificial respiration immediately. Lay the victim in a prone position, clear the mouth of any obstructions, and ensure the tongue is extended. If an assistant is available, they should loosen tight clothing, keep the victim warm, and ensure the victim does not swallow their tongue. The resuscitating operator should apply pressure on the victim’s back following specific guidelines to aid breathing.
