4. Audio-Frequency Voltage Warning: Audio-frequency voltages up to 150 volts may be present at the 600-ohm SPKR terminals. Turn the AUDIO GAIN control to 0 before touching these terminals.

5. Connector Cable Terminal Strips Warning: Do not remove the sheet metal covers from the connector cable terminal strips without first detaching the plug from the a-c power line or disconnecting the batteries. Simply turning the OFF-ON switch to OFF is not sufficient.

6. Electric Shock Response: In case of electric shock, shut off the high voltage immediately and ground the circuits. If this is not possible, free the victim from contact using a dry board, dry clothing, or other nonconductor, and avoid direct contact with the victim or live conductor. Use extreme caution to avoid electric flash if cutting the high-voltage wire.

7. Symptoms of Electric Shock: Breathing may stop abruptly if the current affects the breathing center at the brain’s base. The victim may appear very white or blue, with a weak or absent pulse, and complete unconsciousness. Burns and body rigidity may occur.

8. Resuscitation Instructions: Provide artificial respiration if breathing stops. Lay the victim prone, clear the mouth of foreign bodies, and ensure the tongue remains extended. Loosen tight clothing and keep the victim warm. The resuscitating operator should straddle the victim’s thighs and apply pressure correctly on the victim’s back to facilitate breathing.
