Excessive oscillator drift, noticeable on high frequency bands, and microphonic conditions are usually due to a poor type 6C4 high frequency oscillator or V-10. The 6BE6 tube in position V2 can also cause drift and hum modulation, especially on high frequency bands. Interchanging the 6BE6 tubes in positions V2 and V3 may help, or purchasing a new 6BE6 if the issue persists.

In the CW/SSB position, less output is normal compared to the Receive or Calibrate position. Adjusting the audio control can compensate for this.
