Operation
The BK Precision 313A AC/DC Current Clamp Meter is used for measuring various electrical parameters. To measure AC current (ACA), switch the function selector to the A~ range, open the clamp using the handle, insert the cable to be measured, close the clamp, and read the result on the LCD. For DC current (DCA), switch to the A= range, press the ZERO button to zero the reading, and follow the same steps as ACA measurement.
For AC voltage (ACV) measurement, switch to the V~ range, connect the red test lead to the “+” terminal and the black to the “COM” terminal, touch the test leads to the circuit, and read the result. For DC voltage (DCV), switch to the V= range and follow the same procedure as ACV.
To measure resistance, switch to the Ω range, connect the test leads to the “+” and “COM” terminals, touch the leads to the points of measurement, and read the result. Ensure the power is off and capacitors are discharged before measuring resistance.
For continuity testing, switch to the continuity range, connect the test leads, and touch them to the points to be tested. If the resistance is under 100Ω, the beeper will sound.
The meter features a Zero button to enter zero mode, a Data Hold button to hold readings, and a Peak Hold function for capturing peak values. The auto power-off feature can be disabled by holding the ZERO button while powering on the meter.

Safety & Warnings
Do not operate the tester if the body of the meter or the test lead looks broken. Check the main function dial and make sure it is at the correct position before each measurement. Do not perform resistance and continuity tests on a live power system. Do not apply voltage between the test terminals and test terminal to ground that exceed the maximum limit referred to in this manual. Exercise extreme caution when measuring live systems with voltage greater than 60V DC or 30V AC. Keep the fingers after the protection ring when measuring through the test lead. Change the battery when the symbol appears to avoid incorrect data.
