Welcome to ManualsPlus (“ManualsPlus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of manualsplus.com and any content, features, or services we provide (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1) Who we are

ManualsPlus is an independent library of electronics & lab equipment manuals with AI-generated highlights. We are not affiliated with any manufacturer or with any third parties using similar names. See our Not Affiliated notice and Contact page.

2) Eligibility & using the Site

  • You must be able to form a binding contract where you live.
  • If you create an account (optional), you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You must comply with all applicable laws when using the Site.

3) Content on the Site

The Site includes PDFs, metadata, AI summaries, descriptions, images, and other materials (collectively, “Content”). Unless otherwise noted, Content is owned by ManualsPlus or our licensors. You may access and use the Site and Content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

AI summaries & accuracy

AI-generated summaries and highlights are provided for convenience and may contain errors or omissions. Always verify critical steps, safety procedures, and specifications in the full PDF/manual and with the original manufacturer. ManualsPlus makes no warranties regarding AI output.

4) Your uploads & submissions

The Site may allow you to upload or submit manuals, metadata, or comments (“User Content”). You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to share User Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights, violate law, or contain personal data you do not have permission to share.

By submitting User Content, you grant ManualsPlus a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and create derivative works from your User Content for the purposes of operating, improving, and promoting the Site. You retain ownership of your User Content.

We may remove or disable access to any User Content at our discretion, including in response to complaints or for policy violations.

5) Prohibited uses

  • Uploading or linking to material you do not have the right to share, or that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other rights.
  • Posting illegal, harmful, defamatory, or deceptive content; attempting to circumvent security; scraping at scale; or introducing malware.
  • Misrepresenting affiliation with any brand or manufacturer.
  • Using the Site in a manner that interferes with others’ use or burdens our infrastructure (e.g., abusive automated downloading).

6) DMCA & copyright

If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, please submit a notice as described on our DMCA page. We respond to valid notices and may remove or restrict access to the material, and we may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

7) Third-party services, ads & affiliates

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, ads (e.g., Google AdSense), or affiliate links. We are not responsible for third-party sites, products, or practices. We may earn commissions if you purchase through certain links. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details.

8) Safety & technical use

  • No professional advice: Content is for informational purposes only. Use equipment safely and consult official manuals and qualified professionals when needed.
  • Downloads: PDFs are provided “as is.” Use anti-virus tools and verify files before use. We may limit bandwidth or access to ensure fair use.

9) Changes to the Site and Terms

We may modify or discontinue all or part of the Site at any time. We may update these Terms, and we will post the updated date at the top of this page. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Site at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (e.g., licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law).

11) Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MANUALSPLUS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

12) Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MANUALSPLUS AND ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE OR CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such cases, the limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ManualsPlus and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to your use of the Site, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14) Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], USA, without regard to conflicts of law rules. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in [CITY], [STATE] for any dispute not subject to arbitration.

Optional binding arbitration & class-action waiver (edit or remove)

At our election, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Class actions and jury trials are waived. You may seek relief in small-claims court in your county of residence if eligible.

15) International use

The Site is directed to users in the United States. If you access the Site from other regions, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

16) Privacy & cookies

Your use of the Site is subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. These explain how we collect, use, and share information, including through cookies and similar technologies.

17) Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or compensation to you.

18) Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
  • Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
  • No waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
  • Electronic communications: You consent to receive communications electronically.
