The installation and setup of the 4100 Series Digital Ohmmeters include several key points:
1. Line Voltage/Fuse Selection: Before operating the unit, verify that it is set for the correct local AC line voltage. For 105 to 125 VAC, use a 0.5 Amp Slo-blo fuse, and for 210 to 250 VAC, use a 0.125 Amp Slo-blo fuse. Older models have internal jumpers for voltage selection, while newer models use a sliding switch on the rear panel.
2. Bench Use: The unit comes with all necessary hardware for bench use. Users should familiarize themselves with Sections 4, 5, and 6 of the manual before operating the ohmmeter.
3. Rack Mounting: Optional brackets are available for rack mounting. The unit must be supported on both sides along its entire length if mounted in a rack. Blank panels of at least 1.75 inches should be installed between units to ensure proper airflow. The ambient temperature should not exceed 50°C during operation or 70°C when powered off.
4. Safety Precautions: The power plug must be a three-contact device, inserted into a three-contact socket with a ground connection.
