Installation / Setup
To install the internal DMM assembly for the Agilent 34970A/Option 001, first disconnect the power cord and remove the outer cover by following the procedures in chapter 6 of the 34970A Service Guide. Connect the internal DMM ribbon cable to connector J202 on the main circuit board and secure it with the locking clips. Install the internal DMM circuit board into the chassis by positioning it over the tabs and locking it in place with a click. Twist the internal DMM input cable at least one full turn before connecting it to the backplane connector to ensure specifications are met. Enable the internal DMM via the Utility menu or remote interface command. Modify the rear panel labeling if necessary, and replace the outer cover. The internal DMM is pre-calibrated, but a Zero Adjustment procedure should be run as outlined in chapter 4 of the Service Guide.
